Unlike boxing, MMA fighters are allowed to use different fighting styles - such as punching, kicking and grappling cellars - to hit your opponent or take him to resign. Mixed martial arts include one or more of the following fighting styles: May Thai (Thai boxing one type), judo, IU-jilts, kickboxing, karate and variations thereof MMA Injuries . Oh - and boxing.

The injuries  are also common in mixed martial arts. eye injuries, cuts and lacerations face to face, are part of the sport.

There were two deaths in MMA. Douglas Dredge died in 1998 after a fight on an unregulated in Kiev, Ukraine map and Sam Vasquez died from MMA injuries  sustained during a fight in 2007 in Houston.

According to the Johns Hopkins study MMA Injuries , head trauma and bleeding are the No. 1 cause of death in combat sports. The study concludes that boxing is the most dangerous sport in the United States combat.

MMA Injuries This conclusion should not surprise fans who understand and appreciate the sport. Research at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons study "in 2006 revealed that the average direct impact to the head that suffers from a boxer is equivalent to being beaten with a wooden mallet w 12 moves at about 20 miles per hour.

It does not take a doctor to understand why 12 rounds of hard blows to the head can cause serious damage to the brain of a boxer, the skull and surrounding blood vessels. In contrast, only 25% of MMA fights continued without knockouts, ended without  a KO in the UFC, the first brand of MMA, it is only 3 rounds of fighting off championship and TH round title fights MMA injuries   .

So next time you look at a MMA event, keep in mind that when a wrestler is eliminated, the fight is over. In events of boxing, fighters who were left   without getting a standing eight count and his opponent inflicting blows to the head of the battle is already damaged.
